Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local non-profits and the causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.

1. We have the GREATEST Musicians! Our LSWO Musicians mold the next generation of artists and arts patrons through thousands of hours of private lessons, sectionals, and band directing positions EVERY WEEK!
2. Our Community Engagement Programs serve the artistically marginalized communities across North Texas. Lone Star Kids and St. Philip’s School & Community Center programs create Cultural Equity for many students each season.
3. Our Exceptional Music Director, Eugene Migliaro Corporon is celebrating his 10th Anniversary as our fearless leader!
4. We have a dedicated LSWO Board of Trustees who donate countless hours to further our mission of Music Changing Lives.
5. Our Lone Star Youth Winds high school honor ensemble has 80 exceptionally talented musicians representing 34 area high school band programs.
6. The National Endowment for the Arts increased LSWO grant funding by 32% for 2018.
7. The St. Philip’s Percussion Ensemble provides after school percussion programs every Thursday and Friday afternoon. Students perform at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and other community-wide venues.
8. Our NAXOS CDs “American Tapestry” and “Converging Cultures” have been hailed as world-class.
9. The Barcelona Clarinet Players will join LSWO for an amazing collaboration featuring world-premiere performances March 24th, 2019 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

Through our Lone Star Kids Program, the Lone Star Wind Orchestra has provided 10,000 Title-I middle school students their first live classical music performance.
In nine years, Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day has pumped more than $195 million into the North Texas community. In 2017, $39 million was raised through more than 118,000 gifts benefiting over 2,700 nonprofits.
