“Lone Star Wind Orchestra’s mission of Music Changing Lives is certainly realized through Lone Star Youth Winds. This select group of highly motivated young musicians are irrevocably changed through this ensemble and these opportunities.
The 2024 Carnegie Hall Tour initiative is an exciting new facet that is guaranteed to achieve a life-changing impact on these young people. Carnegie Hall is without question one of the world’s greatest concert halls. The experience of playing in this historic venue—which still reverberates with the collected sound of performances by Tchaikovsky, Bernstein, the Beatles, and Jon Batiste—will remain with these young musicians forever.” – Andrew Trachsel, LSYW Director and Conductor
