Jessica Flanagan is in her 8th year as the Associate Director of Bands at Hedrick Middle School in Lewisville, Texas. Prior to teaching at Hedrick, Ms. Flanagan was a private clarinet instructor in Flower Mound and McKinney. Ms. Flanagan received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education Degree from Texas Tech University and her Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of North Texas. Ms. Flanagan has had the privilege to study with Dr. David Shea, Dr. James Gillespie and Gregory Raden. Ms. Flanagan can be heard on the Klavier Wind Recording Projects Allegories, Retrospectives, Poetics and Passions as member of the UNT Wind Symphony.
In addition to her normal teaching duties, Ms. Flanagan is also on the faculty of the North Texas Clarinet Academy-Clarinet Camps and the Lone Star Clarinet Camp, and performs regularly with the orchestra at her church.
Ms. Flanagan has been a member of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra since its inception and serves as the Section Manager for the clarinet section and as the Artistic Director for the Lone Star Wind Orchestra Clarinet Choir. Ms. Flanagan has had the opportunity to perform at TMEA, TBA, WASBE, Clarinet Fest and at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic.
